Oktober 2016\n Besuch der Heiligen Messe: 09.00 Uhr: Salesianerinnenkirche\, Rennweg 10\, 1030 Wien\nAnmeldung sind nicht mehr möglich \nPaneuropa-Congress 1926 / 2016 –  \nOctober 6th –9th\, 2016\nFrom the 3rd to the 6th of October 1926\, the first ever Paneuropa-congress met in Vienna. Around 2.000 people from all around Europe took part in this meeting. In his invitation to this congress\, Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi\, the founder of Paneuropa\, wrote: „only the personalities that realize the fundamntal need and \npossibility for a European Union will take part in the congress. The question of the necessity and possibility of Paneuropa will not be on the agenda of the congress; however\, questions of suitable methods to realize a common goal will be. The congress will also attempt to explain the position of England and Russia to Paneuropa.“ \nOn the 6th of October 2016\, we want to re-open this congress in Vienna. \n90 years after the first congress\, the discussion of suitable methods to realize the common goal of a united Europe is as important and relevant as ever. While some want to have the paternalist absolutism of welfare-states as a guideline for the united states of Europe\, others dream of withdrawing in to the national welfare-state. The original idea of Paneuropa\, to make Europe a space of freedom\, security and the rule of law\, is in danger of being suffocated through the primacy of politics. \nIn 2016\, we want to discuss some of the challenges facing us with members of the Paneuropean community\, as well as with members of the political\, economical\, media and scientific communities. We would also like at that time to come up with concrete positions to certain questions. \nThe congress will take place in Vienna between the 6th and the 9th of October 2016.
